The first vaccine against tuberculosis has a spanish seal: RUTI
THE BRIEF
The project and the company lacked public significance, despite more than 10 years of research.
Objectives
Arouse the interest of potential investors to help finance the research, obtain the support of scientific societies relevant to the company and support and showcase Archivel Farma by disseminating the progress of its RUTI vaccine in its different clinical phases.
The strategy
A strategic plan around three major milestones:
- Authorisation from the Spanish Medicines Agency to allow the RUTI vaccine to be tested in humans
- The international projection of RUTI
- Communicate the first results of clinical trials
The solution
We defined three main focal points of information projection: The medical environment, the peculiarity and economic significance of the project and the social impact of the discovery. Thus, we conducted the following communication actions:
- Press releases on the progress and results of the various clinical trial.
- Management of interviews with Dr. Cardona in national newspapers, specialised medical press, television and radio.
- Informative discussions with media at conferences and major forums on biotechnology, such as Bio Boston, Bio San Diego.
- Production of Archivel Farma corporate brochure and information dossier on the RUTI vaccine.
SUCCESS IN THE DATA
A massive success in communications in the two and a half months of the project’s duration:
"Helping to disseminate a scientific advance that can save lives is undoubtedly motivating; if it also bears a Spanish seal, the gratification is even greater. Archivel Farma was a project to remember."
