The spanish events sector asserts its role
THE BRIEF
After the economic slowdown caused by Covid-19, the events sector asserts its professionalisation and its role as an economic dynamo
Objectives
Increase the notoriety of the events industry as an economic and social driving force in Spain, reinforcing the role of AEVEA as the industry’s leading voice for defending the sector’s interests through communications.

The strategy
In order to meet the objectives of notoriety and visibility, we implemented an external communications strategy focused on our key audiences: media and KOL.
The solution
AEVEA decided to boost its communications efforts and its presence in the media
- Different corporate tools were put in place for the press office activity and the plan’s actions.
- It was decided to meet with the leading economic and sectoral media outlets with the aim of offering an X-ray of the sector, thus reinforcing its impact on economic, social and environmental matters.
SUCCESS IN THE DATA
By creating content and taking advantage of information opportunities and key dates in the sector, AEVEA is positioning itself as a consolidated source of information. In view of the boom in event planning in cities other than Madrid and Barcelona, the Association focused on regional media and highlighted the contribution of the sector across industries in Spain.
"In the time that we have been collaborating with the AEVEA communications team, we have worked together to demonstrate to different target audiences the importance of this industry as a key to economic progress that also generates notoriety for a brand, an institution, a city or a country"
